You may be thinking of Azure Standard in Oregon. They sell bulk organic foods, and natural product, and are very friendly towards buying clubs, in which people pool their purchases to get quantity discounts and reduced shipping rates. One of our regular members has posted about that.

Yes, GasBuddy is great for checking area prices, but the best prices are always at Costco, if you have a membership.

Ah, maybe that's what I was thinking of. I couldn't remember if I had read it on this forum or on another one

We spend about $500 a month for two people, and that is shopping at Walmart, the commissary, Costco, and farmer's markets.

I am moving to Oahu soon. So I have done some comparison shopping. On my last trip to the leeward side, I took a printout from my longest recent California Safeway online delivery order to the local Kapolei Safeway. I went item by item and wrote down the Kapolei prices next to the California ones. When finished, I did the math. The Kapolei prices were about thirty per cent higher. Of course, you might buy different items (I don't eat red meat and cannot drink milk). This will give you a range using a real shopping list.

Thanks for posting that. It's in line with US Census market basket comparisons, so the "real world' validation from a careful investigation is useful.
