OK folks..

As a reminder name calling and attacking other members is against the ToS. You do not have to agree but you do have to be civil.

Our opinions on a location or issue are just that, opinions.
Highly subjective. Personal preferences. Quirks, even. Leave wiggle room for dialogue, others may not see things the same as you, or been there as long as you, and any one of us can be wrong. Pouncing on someone you disagree with runs contrary to the spirit of this board and its members. We are here to help each other.

That is evident in the posts on this board. Oklahoma City is definitely deserving of its reputation as being America's largest truck stop. It would basically be Amarillo if it wasn't for lucking out and being home to Aubrey McClendon and Larry Nichols.

I love the OKC haters, and I find OKC lately crime ridden and poorly functioning. However, it's extremely hard for me to allow urban smearing to occur. The only people who have ever exclaimed '' tulsa is better than OKC" are most often Tulsa residents, which is fine. I understand having pride in your town I am a Normanite and I feel it is the best city in OK. However I am not going to belittle other towns to make Norman stand out. I enjoy Tulsa's ambiance, landscape, and eateries it's a wonderful place. I am also not sure the measure of a city is based on its proximity to a "Costco" nor its existence of a WNBA team.

I am very hard on OKC sometimes. I wouldn't slam OKC like I do if not for johnspecial's insults. I don't think any native OKCitian would say Tulsa is better, but as a transplant living in OKC I feel that Tulsa is less of a culture shock. I like the trees, hills, greenery, actually nice parks, upscale restaurants, shopping, arts culture, etc. The biggest advantage to Tulsa has to be the significantly smaller tornado threat. I am indifferent to the Thunder and don't think the measure of the city is solely based on its sports team either. In most quality of life areas, other than sports, Tulsa is simply nicer than OKC. I still wouldn't voluntarily live in Tulsa because though it has much of what I look for in a city it is still too small. I prefer major cities which is why I hope to eventually end up in DFW.

Eh? Well, in all actuality most of those Brownskinned Catholics are just as (if not more) socially conservative as the typical dead in the red Repub.

Me?...well, I'm rather partial to those Redder-skinned Baptists (Whoops! I just described myself) like good ol' Brother Bertram of the Choctaw Nation. He writes a column in the Biskinik every month and it's about as Evangelically laced a read as one can find.
