You're lucky to hear a fiddle/twin fiddles in the "country" songs of today about every 10th song on the radio.....and it's usually mixed in with some R&B sounding backbeat.
There are a few of those young fellars (Luke Bryan, I believe that is his name and Jason Aldean, many others like Tim McGraw's newer stuff) I just automatically turn the channel because it sounds more like a Pop/R&B song rather than country.
I do like the Oklahoma Red Dirt stuff though. There's an authenticity to most of it.

There's just no one out there anymore that comes close to these guys. Good thing I can listen to the greats on 99.7 Hank FM here in OK City.
