I know this might be a crazy question but where is the coolest weather in Oklahoma? Around 70-75F.

In the four years I've lived here, Tulsa has had some pretty bad winters. The lowest overnight temperature I've seen is -6. We did have a stretch last year where it was below freezing for a couple of weeks straight.

I will say that the eastern half, Green Country, has had wetter and more moderate weather the past year than the western half.

I live in Cushing, which is on the edge of Green Country. The first year here, 08, the winter temps went down to -2 and hovered at noon about 4 to 6 for a week. I came here from socal and hadn't had a chance to draft proof the house so I spent the week well wrapped. Then when it broke it shot up the neary the mid sixties for a short time before it went back to the 20's. Mostly, though, it was in the 40's to 50's mid day and my gas heater (ventless, though it had an air feed) keeps my small house okay.

Then there was the blizzard of 09. Even neighbors who have lived here for a long time were surprised, with our midwestern blizzard. It was on Christmas Eve. I nearly got stranded at a friends house Christmas night since the roads were all iced up. There were icycles off the roof nearly to the ground and the snow was still unmelted after New Years. It was unusual though.

I have lots of layers and block drafts and its not so bad, and this is coming from someone who saw my FIRST snowstorm here.

I've grown to really love the four seasons. But one place on the list was Kansas, and I loved it, but alas I found out how much snow piled up in winter and er, naw.

Where I used to live was next to or would have been desert, so we'd have everything from the 80's all the way down to the low 30's in the area during winter. Its easier if you don't have such swings. One Christmas there the hose connection froze up and snapped on year and we woke up to a fountain in the yard. This taught me to use metal only in the garden hose setup too.

In Easatern OK, it is not unusual to BBQ Christmas Day and NY Day. February is usually the coldest month, but not always. Sometimes it starts mid-January. Yes it can snow. One year hen I was in NE OK it snowed 16" Two days later is was gone and no snow on the roads where it was plowed.

Delaware County has a lot of high rolling hills. The county does a very good job of keeping the roads open and safe.
