Unlike dogs, it's hard to get a mower of any kind to load up and sit nicely on the back seat of a car.

Is anyone else being overrun by huge moths the size of humming birds?

They wouldn't really bother me so much but they're clumsy - they keep clunking into the walls and falling down.

And they ignore the lights - they keep landing on ME!

What kind are they and is this a annual thing with them?

I have no idea what they are. They are dark brown and about the size of my palm when their wings are spread. THey are about as graceful as a dog on roller skates, and they clunk into the walls constantly.

On the other hand, I haven't seen any June bugs this year.

Well, phooey.

The moths are gone, either their season is over and done, or they finally got it that the ones who invade the house die.

Now - it's June bugs. There's a swarm of them living in the corner of my bedroom where the computer is set up. They aren't coming in through the open door, they come out about an hour after the door is closed for the night.

I'm not phobic about bugs of any kind, honest, but I really hate it when they either fall off the ceiling onto my head or crash into me and get tangled in my hair.

I know what you mean Karibear. I'm in a simular situation but with 10 different kinds and sizes of bugs. Not just bugs but there's bees nests in the rafters on every side of the house. They were all here when I moved in 2 years ago along with mice but I got rid of the mice and I'm still trying to illimunate the bugs.
My Land Lord owns close to (if not more than) 30 houses in Duncan and more in Lawton.
I just talked with my LL and told him that I was going to(double) fog the house and leave for a full day. If this doesn't work, I gave hime 3 options. either I want the house exterminated, a different house, or I'd rent from someone else. I'm one of his best renters.

So we'll see what happens.

P.S. I found that putting Clorox in a spay bottle a spaying it in areas, this keeps bugs out off that area (temperarily)

I can't use bleach in most places where the bugs are because of carpets, wall paint, etc. Soapy water works briefly on the smallest flies and gnats, but not on the beetle-ish things. Vaccuuming works for the spiders and webs, but it's a mixed blessing - the webs trap so many flies. The old fashioned fly strips work pretty well, and the ones from feed stores for stables are better than the ones for household use. I just hate having them hanging everywhere - but it's better than bugs flying everywhere. As for ants and the other little beetle-y things, diatomaceous earth works great - it's non toxic, but it's such finely ground crystals that it destroys insect bodies. It's also called fuller's earth or dinosaur flour, and while I've always been able to find it at garden supply places, in OK I think the only way to get it is to order on line. I have quite a bit, but I use it sparingly sinice it blows around like talcum powder. And if the dogs walk through it, it irritates their feet, although it doesn't hurt them otherwise. In fact, in the days before Frontline and Advantix, people used to powder their dogs with it to get rid of fleas and lice in AK.
