Curmudgeon when you said you were raised in Orange County, every post that I have ever read of yours, seem to all make sense.

As far as the Hillbilly land on the beach, too bad they tore down El Morro Trailer Park in Crystal Cove...that would have been perfect.

Ain't that the truth. It was there back in the 50s, 60s and early 70s when I was there.

I think they kicked everyone off that land in 2005 and tore it down in 2007. I used to mountain bike right beside it.

Possibly, the last affordable place on the beach in SoCal?

It's a real shame. Ah, progress! Who cares about the "little people" anyway! Gone the way of the Pike, the Laguna Greeter and the Flight of the Snowbirds, dory fleet and Rendevous Ballroom in Newport Beach.

More's the pity!

My photo seems to come and go so here's the link! http://my.afterdawn.com/bigtoxy69/show_image.cfm/17302

Could you imagine something like this on the beach in OC? Oh the eyesore!

The Newport and Laguna types would have a field day...much like they did with El Morro.

Hillbillys don't "crave". They "hanker".
