Does anyone live in Orange? What do you think of it? And the Circle (aka Old Towne), is it fresh and lively with a nice night life? Or does it tend toward busy with college kids drinking and partying? Looking for something accepting of cultural diversity, fun - etc. Thanks !!!

Orange is a great little North OC city and the Old Town area is one of its gems. It's not a huge retail area but there are some good restaurants and novelty/antique shops. It also has a surrounding neighborhood of nice old Craftsman homes. To the east are three of Orange County's best hiking/mountain biking parks: Peter's Canyon, Santiago Oaks, and Irvine Regional park. Also, it has easy access to Tustin, Irvine, and Fullerton. I Love calling Orange home!!!

I lived in Orange for over a decade and liked it. The Circle is quaint and as said, has some nice restaurants. They keep it preserved to look like "anytown USA" because it's used a lot as a backdrop for movies.

Overall, the city is nice and no big crime issues. It's centrally located, but traffic going in all directions on freeways is bad. My only personal complaint was that it was too conservative and the general population seems to be rather old. So it's sort of boring in many ways.

Thanks much. We didn't get the house we wanted to anyway and have broadened our search.
