The only camp grounds in oc that I know are Oneill regional and Caspers regional park. There are some state parks on the coast. I am the camp host at Onell and recommend it as it is local. you can make reservations online at OC Parks .com.That site will give you more details. This is a natural park not a turf park, hope to see you here.
Thanks
Don

O'Neill gets very dry........and it has mountain lions.....a little girl was attacked there a few years ago....

Only wear a tie to Trabuco Steak house that you hate...

O'Neill used to be the wilderness, just like Cook's Corner used to be a "real" biker bar.
For a weekend, you should head up to Big Bear. I don't know you're style of camping, but there's something for everyone up there.
Trabuco Oaks will never change......ties, signs, trees growing out of the middle of the room.....and very tender filet mignon and skinny fries.....

If Cooks is the one where you get your goodies out of the coffin, I was there a few weeks ago.....I think the address is Wildomar.....drinks are strong and you can see the stars at night....quiet at night and very peaceful... It's still a biker place, but we arrived in a car...

No, Cooks is at the intersection of Live Oak Canyon Rd, Santiago Canyon Rd, and El Toro Rd. Approx 4 miles from the old entrance of O'neill Park.

And there are campgrounds off Ortega Highway in the Cleveland National Forest on both the Orange County side and the Riverside County side. Also there is the San Mateo Canyon Wilderness Preserve wayyyyy out there in the same general area.......
