Possible relocation to employer in the Huntington Beach / Westminster area. Close to the 405 & CA-22 interchange. Curious if someone can give me a good perimeter of places to live where the commute times (on average) would be under 45 minutes to this area.

Thanks in advance!

What type of housing?

Schools important?

$ Range?

# of rooms?

Age of dwelling requirements?

Walkability requirements?

etc

The area is loaded with nice cities of all types and price points, so more information is needed to provide examples that would be worth your while

I would look in HB for sure. Stick between Euclid and Beach Blvd. They run parallel with the coast on the left as you head north.

Also, check out Fountain Valley. Slightly less expensive I believe because you're more inland.

I personally didn't like Westminster but that is me and my situation.

Those two cities will get you a nice 30-minute drive to the 22 in traffic depending upon your distance from the freeway and the time of day you leave.

You can head more north to Seal Beach, another 30-minute drive I believe. However, not knowing your budget or what is important to you, it is hard to say really.

There are some very nice neighborhoods in East Long Beach that would be a 15 minute drive.

All of these have very good schools, are safe, and have great character (older fully grown trees, custom houses, etc.):

El Dorado Park
Park Estates
Belmont Shore
Naples
Peninsula

I work in HB and currently live in Fullerton (22E to 57N). Commute time at 6am is 18-20 minutes to 405/22. In the afternoon it is 45-60min home at 5pm.

We are moving to Irvine (south of HB on 405) soon and the commute up 405 should be 15 minutes in the AM / 20-25 minutes in the afternoon.

Again it depends on your budget and how much you can spend. I love the coastal area of H.B, however one you may not want to live that far away, even thought it isnt too far, and also you may not be able to afford it. You could also look at Seal Beach, which is a great area...and someone also said east lb, which is another option. Wish you the best.
