If it gets much cooler, you almost need to turn the furnace on.

The words California,Solar panels and air conditioning should always be in the same sentence!

Except the solar panels cost a not-so-small fortune even with the rebates.

I got it down to 79.5 now at 1:34 am... Now I know why people leave the door open, it really helps to cool the apt! I leave it less than halfway open when it's late at night and then use my power fan to push it all inside... it makes a huge difference.. i watch the temp drop all the way from like 85 to 79 by just doing that...

Hi Jackie I have an idea for you!
Close all the doors and windows open all internal doors and put the shower on (cold) and use one fan to blow the cooled air out of the bathroom.
If the sound of the shower disturbs you then just put on some Rap-Metal to cover the noise.

Ok you guys, I understand about the humidity and all, I was there on vacation from 8-31 to 9-7 and it was hot in Anaheim but around 84 on the beach. Yes humidity makes a difference but I live in Phoenix where we HAVE to run our a/c 24/7 and my power bill for that is $300 plus! I hate it here even though it is a dry heat. So when it's 115 here, I keep my thermostat on 85 and it's just right for me. I guess you just get use to the heat. But when I was there, the humidity did get to me, still 85 indoors is not that hot. : )

I'm a former Anaheimer now living outside Phoenix. During the summer we set our A/C at 82 degrees since a life of unlimited wealth is not ours to enjoy. But... When it's 115 outside, 82 seems nice and cool. (Please see above. They know of what they speak!)

It's relative. When the high is in the 70s all summer and all of the sudden you stuck in the 90s at day and mid 80s at night inside, it's hot.
