Is anyone familiar with adventure-type clubs in the Willamette Valley area? We'll probably end up in that area somewhere between Salem and Eugene. I'm interested in things like skiing, camping, rafting, hiking, outdoor fun, etc. I think joining some groups will help us to make new friends after we move. We also have two kids - aged 5 and 15 months.

The Chemeketans is the one in our area. I have a friend who is a member and likes it.

Eugene might have their own.

The Mazamas the oldest hiking/mountain climbing club in the Portland area. Early Mazamas were heavily involved with naming features through the Columbia River Gorge, opening up Mt. Hood to skiing, and pretty much the root of Portland's outdoors activities.
