By NW Oregon do you mean in the Portland area? There are about 130 Chinese restaurants in the greater Portland metropolitan area. Among them are some chain restaurants, some not very good independents and some excellent - e.g., Wong's King or Ling Garden. If by NW Oregon you didn't mean Portland, plese be more specific - there are more than 300 Chinese restaurants throughout Oregon.

Well, I'll confess that when I go to the coast, it's not in search of Chinese food. There seem to be three in Seaside - West Lake, Great Wall and Golden Horse, and one in Astoria - Golden Star. You might be able to find some reviews on tripadvisor or yahoo's travel site.

Default Chinese Food in Tillamook

The North Oregon Coast isn't really known for its Chinese food. I can think of three Chinese restaurants in Tillamook but I haven't been to any of them, I prefer the excellent seafood and Mexican food that's available.

Chinese Garden is a new restaurant on North Highway 101. I know people who have been recently and they liked it.

Lin's is also on North 101, haven't heard anyone rave about this place.

Fei Ying on 1st, just off 101, don't know much about this one either.

If you are looking for good restaurants near Tillamook, the people of Tillamook county vote for their favorite restaurants each year. Here is the list of past winners (http://www.tasteoftillamookcounty.com/pcawards.htm - broken link). Unfortunately, there is no category for Best Chinese Restaurant.

Good Luck!

Well, if you make it down to Newport, you can cook your own Chinese food using supplies from Mai's Asian Market on Highway 20 (near its junction with Highway 101) in Newport, which is probably the largest pan-Asian food supply store along the coast.

Of course, if you just want a sit-down meal...
