That's pretty much it. I don't want places like Ashley Furniture or Rooms To Go.

I'm aware of Ethan Allen and other national chains.

Looking for a regular furniture store, preferably a huge one with a large selection of really good quality furniture. Unsure if one exists.

I'm not a snob. I don't look down on people who buy cheap furniture. I spent enough years buying it and using it! But now I can afford good stuff that lasts forever, so that's what I want to buy. Please don't make unpleasant comments about my desire to buy what I want.

Thanks all!!!

Ivanhoe Antique Row. I'm sure they sell new as well as antiques, if anything they can point you in the right direction.

What you want is Robb and Stucky's. Since their Orlando store closed a while back, their nearest location is in Sarasota. Their is nothing comparable left in Orlando that I know of. Good luck with your furniture shopping.

Just went through this myself. We got most of our furniture through a designer. They charge a fairly nominal fee and have an incredible selection from nearly any brand. We went with Angela Neel Interiors but Orlando has many designers. Their advice is also invaluable in my opinion.

We also have bought a lot of pieces from Right@Home in Altamonte Springs. They have very good quality brands at great prices, mostly discontinued pieces or pieces that were used in design shows. Not a huge selection, but the inventory is always changing.

I've had very good success with Crate & Barrel though Orlando doesn't have a store that carries the furniture. The Tampa store at International Plaza has a very large selection and delivers in Orlando at "regular delivery rates" since the furniture isn't carried here. The website of course is a good way to check out the assortment first. Crate & Barrel's furniture is very well-made and most if not all of their upholstered furniture comes from Mitchell Gold which is one of the best in the industry.
