Default Seminole Vs. Orange cost of living

Having lived in Florida much of my life I know that between the counties there is a variance in the actually cost of living. Can anyone tell me in particular the differences in insurance costs (auto, homeowners, etc.) between these two counties. We are looking to buy a home in Oviedo but if the cost is not much less would prefer the Windermere area.

Most cost of living calculators are too general for this type of search.

Thanks!

I'm a Floridian, but can't speak for the insurance rates. I'm sure if you call your insurance carrier, they can break it all down for you. Personally, I'd pick Seminole County hands down. It's Central Florida's most affluent county, so there isn't nearly as much crime or rif raf as Orange County. Plus, Seminole County schools are far superior to Orange County. Good luck with your search!

I too am going to be moving to the Seminole county area...i have done the Orlando thing and I'm over it...its great to visit, but not to live...That being said, Oviedo or Winter Springs? Which would be the best? I am looking for an area that is safe, a nice place to raise children, not in the boondocks ( I don't like it to be TOO quiet), good schools, lots of shopping areas, parks things like that. Any suggestions??
