In reviewing this topic again, I'm actually thinking that the expressway extension will be welcomed by residents and will more than likely increase property values as it facilitates access to the major thoroughfares.

Given the growth of the entire Lake Nona/Sunbridge region of the SE metro, I no longer see this as a negative and now view it very much as a positive.

Yes. A lot of people in Osceola, on both sides of the county, are steamed about the long travel times. This won't eliminate the problem but it will make it a lot better. If you scroll down to the last page of CFX's 2040 Master Plan you can see the concept -
https://www.cfxway.com/wp-content/up...lan-5_5_16.pdf

Part of it was originally envisioned as an extension of Osceola Parkway but the Parkway now dead ends into a large subdivision so the Expressway extension will instead be a spur off of 417 at Boggy Creek Rd.

What's the point of this road? It doesn't really go to anything.

Phase 1 goes through existing Lake Nona/Narcoossee area (a lot of that is still yet to be built)and out to future Sunbridge and currently being built Harmony. That's a lot of people and the only roads out there are Narcoossee Rd, Boggy Creek Rd, and 192.

A new road is sorely needed.

I believe this is the current plan under consideration by the authorities that be.

Sounds like a road to nowhere. Maybe they should build along the current footprint?

Current footprint of what?

This is just the development slated for the east side of the county.

The development to the south is almost as much.

Ohhh . . . are you saying why don't they build houses along the existing expressways?

Who is they?

Also, where, exactly?

If I look at this correctly, there will be a MAJOR road boardering Del Webb's Sunbridge? Correct?
