Look in Colonialtown. Most hosues there have garages, and it's a safe and affordable area.

Thats true. Baltimore has that scary look of just block rowhouses while boarded up. But some bad areas around I think northwest baltimore, don't look as bad as the bad areas around Baltimore's city center. Some of the "ghettos" have nice tree lined streets.

You should also look in Baldwin Park.

I don't get it. I see that the thread "says" bad/sketchy areas before you enter, and then people get offended after they enter the thread and want to see nice pics? Sounds like that is off topic for this thread, and the city-data rules say to stay on topic. If I was a mod I would erase posts that showed nice and rich areas of Orlando. It's not our fault that you guys just hate seeing the bad side of things in pics of your city. That's why you have a choice to enter this thread or not.

Nice nice pics sunbearer, or should I say not so nice pics?..lol..jk Thanks for making this thread. If people don't like this topic they have a choice and if certain people want to be biased about enforcing rules just because they hate a topic than that would be like a teacher in a school abusing their power and giving a student a bad grade just because they don't like what they are wearing or because of their skin tone.

I'd be interested in seeing some pics of Orlando's nitty gritty side. All I know of is Disneyworld. The Miami section has a great thread dedicated to a subject like this.

So I've lived in Orlando for a year now and I kind of know some of the areas to stay far away from (I believe anything west of downtown, around the 408 area. correct me if I'm wrong). However, I heard awhile back that the area around millenia is one of the worst in the city. This came as a huge surprise to me since it is close to I-drive and extremely upscale. I was there recently in fact to visit the Aston Martin dealership (definitely upscale). Can someone please explain why the Millenia area is bad and the exact "area" we are talking about, ie which neighborhoods???

West of Millenia is generall OK, go east on Americana towards South OBT and it quickly becomes infested with gangs, drug dealers, etc.

Wow, Orlando must really be a nice city if it's bad areas can be summed up in only 10 or so pictures. Maybe I should move there.

Orlando is not that bad of an area. Most of the crime is in a few small areas, and as long as you stay out of those areas you'll be fine. South Orlando is very nice near the theme parks, dr. philips and windermere is definitely a good area, and east orlando is very nice as well, with Oviedo being a great neighborhood and of course UCF providing the college town feel to the eastern part of Orlando. Great city overall!
