In addition to Lizard Lick, NC, we can boast Burgaw -- Native American for 'Mud Hole' -- and one of my all-time favorites, for newcomers to stumble all over, and folks to have fun 'playing' with, is Fuquay-Varina, NC.

In France there is a town called Moncuq. If you do not pronounce the "q" at the end, it sound like "my a**" in French. Needless to say stand up comedians and other famous people played many jokes with that town name...

It was fun going back and reading through this. I'm surprised nobody mentioned Fancy Farm, Ky. And western Kentucky is unique. Where else can you go to Mexico, Cuba, and Moscow, and be home in time for lunch? .

And just where is Climax, Ga from ***-ing Ga.
I heard there was a sign outside of Cummming that said, "When you get close to Cummming, think of baseball". Supposedly, they're big on baseball there and the sign was legit. Well, sort of.

Oooh, I forgot. In France there is also a town called Plaisir (= "pleasure"), and a town called Choisy-le-roi (if you write I instead of Y you get = "choose the king"). There is also a town called... Y.
