Hik, We also have Belcher, Ky right here in my county. It is at the foot of Card Mountain. My mother in laws maiden name is Belcher, she was born on Lick Creek in the same area

Was just wondering how many unusual city names y'all have heard of. (Like Shake Rag, GA and Hell, MI.)
There's a "Run Through Hell" every year in Hell, Michigan...a road running race
Hee hee!
I like the sign you see driving in Michigan that says "Climax, One Mile"...Yep, it is often stolen in road rallies

Why are there so many things called or named "Lick" in KY ? I noticed that while I was working in L'ville couple years ago.
