Today's Question:
When was the last time you used or wanted to use the phrase
"I don't want to or won't be having this conversation again"? Every month or so, when people from one of my non-profit organizations pressure me into running for the highest office again. I served in that capacity once; let someone else do it now.

Bonus Question:
Only 15 more days until Relay For Life!

Extra Credit Question:
What was the last "tocsin" you gave or received? When we had a bad storm about a week and a half ago. They had the emergency warning on TV for some areas. My town was not hit as badly as others in the TV viewing area.

Just for Fun:
Do you know anyone who should take part in today's "Great American Grump Out Day"

Today in History:
1809 - Mary Kies is 1st woman issued a U.S. patent (weaving straw)
1847 - American Medical Association organized (Philadelphia)
1891 - Music Hall (Carnegie Hall) opens in New York, Tchaikovsky as guest conductor
1900 - "The Billboard," a magazine for the music and entertainment industries, began weekly publication. The name was later shortened to "Billboard."
1923 - Firestone Tire and Rubber Company of Akron, OH began the first regular production of balloon tires.
1961 - Alan Shepard becomes 1st American in space (aboard Freedom 7) I remember watching it live on TV in the gym at my elementary school. It was so exciting!

Word of the Day:
tocsin \ TOCK-sin \ , noun;
1. A warning.
2. An alarm bell, or the ringing of a bell for the purpose of alarm.
This is just an okay word.

Today is:
National Chocolate Custard Day Did someone say CHOCOLATE?????
Cinco de Mayo Pat-TAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cartoonists Day I like cartoons.
Museum Lover's Day I love museums.
Totally Chipotle Day Sounds good. Let's go out to lunch!
Great American Grump Out Day There's enough grumpiness around without making a point of being grumpy. I think I'll do the opposite and try to make everyone I come in contact with today LAUGH!

Have a good Thursday, everyone!

In the low 90s and sunny today in the NV desert.

Today's Question:

When was the last time you used or wanted to use the phrase
"I don't want to or won't be having this conversation again" ?
A couple of weeks ago when I was asked if Tuesday would be a convenient day for a quarterly board meeting. It never is, but they scheduled the meeting for this Tuesday anyway.

Only 21 more days until my son's birthday!?

What was the last "tocsin" you gave or received? Sounds a bit alarmist to me -- not into dire predictions.

Do you know anyone who should take part in today's "Great American Grump Out Day" There is a tableful of grumps who always sit together at my poker club. Guess they enjoy snapping at each other?!

Happy Thursday everyone.
