While I am not allowed to wear jeans to work (not a problem as I own no jeans), my dress requirements are pretty casual. Blue work slacks and a polo shirt. That is fine with me. Where I use to work a white shirt and tie was required. Some people look good all dressed up. I am not one of those people. I no longer own a suit or even a tie.
It is our choice if we want to dress up or not. People come to work dressed differently depending on what they are doing that day and if they will come in contact with the public. I enjoy dressing up sometimes, but I'm glad I can opt out with jeans and flip flops when I want to.
I prefer a job for which I can dress comfortably, but I actually like dressing up on occasion (cute dress and heels). I dressed up if I had a meeting with the executives or legislators.
At least go for the coveralls in the dead of winter. lol.
I make a point to look my best. Just in case I cross paths with nomoresnow. Just don't be blockin' my mirror...
