This kind of ties in with yesterday, my appt in Manitowoc. Somehow I missed the news or maybe just didnt hear, that there would be road construction and the 151N (the only two lane road between here and there) was closed off! So.... I had to follow detour signs that would point me about 10 miles out of my way, to other back roads, to my appt. Bottom line is, I barely made it on time to that appt. Ugh!
Drives me nuts! If you have plans with a friend at 5 PM, don't offer to have dinner with me at 7 PM. You're going to end up having a good time with them and staying way past 7 PM, and then I'm going to be there wondering where you are. Just wait till the next night! Lol. If I spend an evening with someone, I spend the whole evening with them (or several people together) but I don't split it up.
I also don't like mixing up languages. I have a lot of deaf friends and hearing friends. If the hearing friends know sign language, it's fine and doesn't matter if we hang out in a mixed deaf/hearing crowd. But it gets really awkward when we mix deaf friends with hearing friends who don't know sign language, in a group, because I always end up being "the interpreter", and there is no way I can keep up with both sides. (In professional settings, they have two interpreters for group situations so they can handle overlap in conversaton and each one can catch anything the other one missed.)
Plans? Plans? Who needs shtinkin' plans? We don't need no shtinkin' plans!!!
lol
