Most places I have lived there was not really a need to check. Either it was really green or so ripe it was mostly mush. Not much in-between

Don't know. Has been like 40 years since I had a grocery store pizza. Back then it came n a box and you had to mix the dough, let it rise and bake it. There were small cans of sauce, toppings, and cheese

There is a small place located on a side street in Oostende, Belgium that has really good ice cream.

Mostly by visual inspection.

No amount of money could compensate me for becoming the laughingstock of the nation. Even AARP Magazine wouldn't take me.

How do you check the ripeness or quality of any fresh fruits and vegs?
It depends on the fruit or veg. Sometimes you look at the color, other times you bend it to see if it snaps or press it to see if it springs back to shape. Other times you check the odor or thump it and listen for a hollow sound or look for a shiny skin.

Which do you think is the best grocery store pizza?
They're all vastly inferior to freshly baked. I can't recommend any of them.

What jelly bean flavors do you like?
Cinnamon, licorice, cherry, root beer, toasted marshmallow, green apple, pear and any of the Jelly Belly tart fruit flavors.

What's your favorite ice cream place?
Ben and Jerry's, Mitchell's, Polly Ann or Bi-Rite in San Francisco or Tillamook Dairy on the Oregon coast

Life wise? Men who are unemployed and not retirement age.
