I'm starting the thread early as I need to keep things clear for tomorrow.
As you may have already seen, my darling pet and constant companion of over sixteen years Molly died last Wednesday. Her legs suddenly gave way and we arranged for the necessary here at home.
I really am not in the mood for peeveing so as a little tribute to the 'mascot of this thread' I'm going to post some shots of my beloved girl.
She had a great life, hardly ever had a collar on in the UK and was able to frolic around the field and stream at home as well as get onto the open forest nearby.
Life was tougher for her in Houston but she still had fun there, but her real home was here and her ashes will be scattered in the field and stream when Miss J returns from abroad.
On with the shots, though ones of her young are harder to come by.
This was taken by the people who bred her;
The rest are my shots, the next one is a photo of a photo and shows a young Miss J with an even younger Molly in May 2000;
With her pal and partner in crime Poppy;
Shaved in Houston, with a puppy we looked after for a weekend;
Oh, Jezer, I am so sorry to hear about Molly. Your lovely photo tribute to her made me tear up. I'm glad that she had such a good life as part of your family and was at home at the end, but I will miss her. Hugs to you, Mrs. J and Miss J.
I'm sure Molly knew she was loved. She was one of the lucky ones to have a nice long life with a family that truly cared about her. God Bless you Molly.
