Morning wit-nit and all.

Went shopping for shoes this week. Haven't been for awhile and was fascinated by the various types of shoes people buy and wear. So our first question deals with shoes.
Question: Of the following list what kinds of shoes/footwear have you worn or are wearing now?
Alligator shoes?
Buckle shoes?
Tennis shoes?
Flip flops?
Flats?
Moccasins?
Sandals?
Pumps?
Stilletto shoes.
Mules?
Penny loafers?
Clogs?
Ballet shoes?
Blue suede shoes?
Regular boots
Cowboy boots?
Leather patent?
Platform shoes?
Oxford shoes? Hope we're talking about the same thing here.
High heels?
Low heels?
Do you know any heels?
Other? Deck shoes
What are you wearing now? Nothing- on my feet that is!

Went to a doctors appointment also this week, so the questions are:
What's the longest you've had to wait to see the doctor in the office? Maybe an hour but that was unusual.
What is your wait time limit before you get tired of waiting? If I'm there I'm probably staying
Have you ever gotten tired of waiting and got up and left? Don't think so
Have you ever been to the emergency room at the hospital? Professionally, many times. Privately yes. One and only time in the US was after Miss J's school bus got hit by an idiot. Miss J had a slight sprain in her neck, the other kids were generally okay and the idiot had a very large bill presented to his insurance company.
How long did you have to wait until you were seen by a doctor? The ER in that Houston hospital was pretty quiet at that time and everything went very smoothly.

Misc.
We've all heard the expression "whichever way the wind blows".
Do you know which way the wind blew today? Pretty still at the moment- it's 7am.
Do you know your high/low temps for today? Nothing special today; 64/52. Overall, with the exception of a very few days, it has been dry and cool this summer so far. Things might change later in the wek with expected highs in the upper 70s.
Any rain happen lately? It was in the forecast yesterday but seems to have gone.

Have you ever lost your house keys?
Have you ever lost your car keys?
Have you ever lost your car in a parking lot? One time- I got out on the wrong level of one of the multi storey car parks at Heathrow Airport.
Have you ever lost your mind? Frequently.

Thanks wit-nit.

Went to a doctors appointment also this week, so the questions are:
What's the longest you've had to wait to see the doctor in the office? An hour.
What is your wait time limit before you get tired of waiting? About 20 minutes. But I schedule late in the day to avoid the pressure of returning to work.
Have you ever gotten tired of waiting and got up and left? Yes, once, at the eye doctor's.
Have you ever been to the emergency room at the hospital? Many times!
How long did you have to wait until you were seen by a doctor? In ER? Well, once was at least an hour, and it was for my daughter rather than me. I was not a happy camper.

Misc.
We've all heard the expression "whichever way the wind blows".
Do you know which way the wind blew today? No, but there wasn't much wind today, for a change.
Do you know your high/low temps for today? I think it was 88 - it was hyped up for days to hit 100.
Any rain happen lately? Nope. Just humid.

Have you ever lost your house keys? Oh, yes!
Have you ever lost your car keys? No.
Have you ever lost your car in a parking lot? Yes.
Have you ever lost your mind? Numerous times!

Pun time: Why did Mike take his computer to the optometrist?
Spoiler
He wanted to improve it's web sight.
Cute!
Why did Satx take his computer to the doctor?
Spoiler
Because he thought it had a virus.
Heh! Heh!

Thanks for playing, enjoy the moment, the day, and don't do anything I wouldn't do...
Thanks, Wit.

Right now I'm wearing sneakers. We don't call them that in England. Our name is trainers........ I am in my holiday uniform of t-shirt, blue shorts, white ankle socks, and trainers. They are black with red trim, and white soles. I wear ankle socks to be awkward. My sons sneer at me, "dad....... folks don't wear ankle socks with trainers anymore. You're so 80s........." I reply, "yes I am! No fashion police tell me I can't wear white ankle socks!!" I am getting very awkward in my old age.........

What are you wearing now? No shoes. And generally I only wear trainers - winter boots in winter of course and wellies when I want to splash in puddles

Went to a doctors appointment also this week, so the questions are:
What's the longest you've had to wait to see the doctor in the office? A couple of hours but it was the emergency doctor so the wait went according to need
What is your wait time limit before you get tired of waiting? I don't really get tired of waiting as long as I have a book with me
Have you ever gotten tired of waiting and got up and left? No
Have you ever been to the emergency room at the hospital? Too many times
How long did you have to wait until you were seen by a doctor? Don't usually have to wait that long to see the initial doctor but waiting in between tests and moar doctors takes forever sometimes - my record was 13 hours

Misc.
We've all heard the expression "whichever way the wind blows".
Do you know which way the wind blew today? Easterly I think
Do you know your high/low temps for today? I think the lowest temp was 10C and the highest is expected to be 21C. My back garden is a sun trap though so that's around 30C
Any rain happen lately? Lots of rain has been happening lately - its been a cold wet summer so far

Have you ever lost your house keys? Yes
Have you ever lost your car keys?
Have you ever lost your car in a parking lot?
Have you ever lost your mind? In the process of doing so it seems

Hi and welcome to the last Sunday QOTD for June of this year. IF YOU ARE BORN ON JUNE 28, then your zodiac sign is Cancer whose shy personality is only a part of being a young crab. From inside, you are someone who is emotionally guarded. You keep your guard up to protect yourself from pain and suffering. In addition, you can invest too much time into worrying about things you should not.

Went shopping for shoes this week. Haven't been for awhile and was fascinated by the various types of shoes people buy and wear. So our first question deals with shoes.

Achilles heel
Other?
What are you wearing now?
House shoes...

Went to a doctors appointment also this week, so the questions are:
What's the longest you've had to wait to see the doctor in the office?
No idea. Didn't visit any doctor last 20+ years.

What is your wait time limit before you get tired of waiting?
I usually make appointments, then insist to be seen on time.

Have you ever gotten tired of waiting and got up and left?
Yup. And never went there again.

Have you ever been to the emergency room at the hospital?
Not as a patient.

How long did you have to wait until you were seen by a doctor?
At the ER? Their priority is to see critically ill people first, as they arrive. Less sick can wait.
Sadly, ER waiting rooms are full of people who don't need to be there at all.
