I'm happy the IRS just extended the 2020 tax filing deadline from April 15, 2021, to May 17, 2021.

Even better, residents of Texas have until June 15 to file their Federal income taxes because of that Winter Storm in February.
The IRS is giving all Texas residents and businesses an additional two months to file their federal income taxes, citing the deadly winter storm that left millions without power and water. Texans will now have until June 15 to file their 2020 returns, instead of the regular deadline of April 15, the tax agency said on Monday.

I'm wondering if the later dates also applies to any contributions you can make to your IRA? This could be a real consideration for me if so.
