Today's theme is "fun and games."

Today's Question(s):
What are three toys and/or games that you remember from your childhood, whether you had them, or coveted someone else's?
1.) Battery-operated mini reel-to-reel tape recorder. Best Christmas gift ever.
2.) Ping pong. We had a table in our backyard.
3.) Roller skates. I practically lived in them after school.

What toy or game did you always want, but never got?
Patti Playpal doll. I coveted one but never got one.

What did you get and wore out, or lost pieces to?
I once asked Santa for a doll that nodded its head yes and shook its head no. (There really was such a thing, and I may have seen a TV commercial for it.) The nod stopped working soon after I got it, and from then on the doll would only shake its head no. I guess that's why they don't make them any more.

Bonus Question(s):
What would you rather play, or do you like them all? I'm picky.
Entertaining board games (Sorry, Operation, etc.) Scrabble
Games played primarily with cards (Uno, Apples to Apples, etc.) Not a fan.
Games played primarily with dice (Yahtzee, 10,000, etc.) Not a fan.
Strategy games (Risk, Monopoly, etc.) Not a fan.
Role Playing Games (Dungeons & Dragons, Rifts, etc.) Never have done this.
Video games? Card games like Solitaire and word games like Text Twist.
other? My taste in games is pretty tame. I don't care for any games with violence, explosions, aliens, weird characters, scantily-clothed women or garish, ugly animation.

Just For Fun:
Have you ever played:
Badminton? Yes, and I really suck at it, too.
Bean Bag Toss? In grade school.
Bocce? No, but I've seen it being played.
Hopscotch? One of my grade school favorites.
Kubb? What the heck is that? Never heard of it.
Lawn Darts? No
Other? Croquet.

Thanks, PatsCats!
