I remember toilets that once you walked into them and closed the door you wished you'd {{{never}}} entered.
And you could "see" things that you wished you'd never saw.......................

I'm so old I remember...

A old tin coffee cans kept the toilet paper from getting damp in those out houses an bug free

And always a candle and holder and matches in the out house again in a can for those late night mother nature calls. and the lye sack sitting in the corner. Lye was used to knock down the smell once a week a scoop or two from a old porcelain coffee cup did the trick. Out back of the out house was the best place for earth worms for fishing.. just watch out for the poison ivy.
And never leave the door open... critters like skunks - racoons - opossums like snooping around at night.. So always bang on the door and stand to one side.. you may have a critter leaving quickly

I’m so old I remember ……….
I could walk from the house to the town center in less than five minutes, then over to my girlfriend’s house in under three. The bad thing was that everyone in town knew me and who my parents were; kids always had to stay on their best behavior in those days.

We drank water from the garden hose and not from a bottle ( I didn't even need the hose) Thirsty is thirsty!

We ate cupcakes, white bread, real butter, and bacon. We drank Kool-Aid made with real white sugar. And we weren’t overweight. WHY? Because we were always outside playing.

I remember elevators didn’t have doors, they simply had a metal cage door and you could view the inside of the building as you passed by each floor.
