OMG that's great! A 1-minute commercial, from back in the days when peoples' attention span lasted a whole minute instead of 10 seconds!
Back in the days when commercials were entertaining enough to hold people's attention for more than 10 seconds. Since the 1980s the number of commercials that can do that for me I could count on my fingers. Maybe on one hand.
I bet there was Linoleum on the kitchen floor, too. And a roll of waxed paper to wrap leftoveers
Yep. And we carried brown bag lunch sacks to school for lunch with sandwiches wrapped in waxed paper.
I had 70's kids in elementary school and lunch boxes were the thing then. I doubt if many kids carry their own lunches to school anymore unless it's by choice or a special diet of some kind.

The nastiest tasting tooth paste ever!! We had tooth powder most of the time but occasionally a tube of Ipana was there, too. Before and during WWII Ipana was a yellowish color and about the consistency of zinc oxide ointment. Later on they changed the formulation and flavored it with peppermint, which greatly improved both taste and texture.

Godfrey's commercials were very popular. The public could hardly wait to try what he was selling. While this was a great soup commercial, I was a "can" man all the way. Sometimes even ate soup cold, right out of the can. Cook for 8-9 minutes? No way.
On that note, I remember when boar bristle hairbrushes were all the rage. I had long hair, so they didn't work - they couldn't go through all that hair.
I also remember when "bonnet" hair dryers were the norm. You can still get them on Amazon.

The commercials were definitely watchable in those days.
I remember when you could call a radio station DJ and make requests for the songs you wanted to hear.
I also remember when radio stations didn't have FM. Or maybe it was because our 1930's vintage radio wasn't able to pick up FM signals.
The old radio couldn't get the signal. My 1960s transistor couldn't get FM.
