I would rather have a phone call. Text messaging is too hard. It's easier just to talk.

For the length of the conversation I'd be willing to have? Texting would be better.

Edit:
Also, texting is better for people who are DRIVING, when the message comes through, because they could actually then wait until they were completely stopped and safe to answer.

I saw no mention of dating in the OP. Try being more specific in your explanation if you want a specific response.

texting definitely. i'll let a call go to voicemail but reply to text right away.

a friend of mine always texts before she calls as a way to confirm it's okay to call. i like that!

Call is better for me. Only text with son during certain football or hockey games. Then it can be back and forth for awhile!...

Since I have a TELephone and not a TEXTaphone, I prefer to talk! I have people who will text me and I'll call them back with my answer. When they ask why I didn't just text back I tell the truth. In the time it would take me to text the message and send it, I could have called them, given them the message, hung up, and gotten something to eat. And don't tell me to try that T9 texting where the word pops up after a few letters, that's even more confusing! It doesn't matter if it is somebody I just met or somebody in my family!
