I wanted to be an artist in any shape, way or form ... I'm a graphic designer, so my little dream came true
Cool. I like that.
I have some artistic inclination and had thoughts about pursuing art, but my mother (with zero appreciation of art) told me that artists don't make any money. She also told this to my daughter, who is majorly talented, and makes my talent look like stick figures. She joined the Coast Guard. Thanks, Mom.
I wanted to be a rodeo rider when I was a kid. No, didn't happen. (btw, I grew up in NJ, not quite the rodeo capital of the world!
As a young adult, I really wnated to have kids and to live in Africa for a few years. That part I did get (both of them), and I'm very happy about that

Hey, it's never too late! My career teacher told me the same thing. Glad I said thrrrppppt to her suggestions
I wanted to be married to Shaun Cassidy, didn't get that!
Careerwise, I wanted to be a lawyer and that's still not out of the question. It might be a late in life career change and would be all about helping people rather than about making big bucks. I'm active in child advocacy programs and would love to have some expertise to give to kids who desperately need legal representation.
