Yuck! Take the pain meds that they give you and take it easy. You'll be fine by Friday.

I can't think of anything, short of child birth, that is worse than dental surgery. Does the dentist use that laugh gas stuff? ALSO, make sure he writes you a great prescription BEFORE you let him even touch your mouth.

Don't smoke (dry sockets) and don't drink..... I did both. That whole week is like a hazy memory.

Good luck to you Mike!!!

Also don't use a straw! Dental surgery sucks but it's a great excuse to eat ice cream all day!

I only had 2 wisdom teeth and it was easy having them out. I feel for the people who have more complicated situations. I even drove myself home afterwards.

My wisdom teeth are gone and I don't miss them. I think my mind may have went with them.....Just concentrate on that big deck with lots of coolers and having friends over for a cold one. You'll be fine.

I had all four of mine removed because I had worn braces and they didn't want the wisdom teeth to push my teeth back out. I had absolutely no pain whatsoever with the first two. All the horror stories I heard and I thought "Well, that was a cinch" and I was back to eating by the end of the day. OH, but the 2nd set they removed kicked my hiney so bad. Oh the pain was excrutiating and my parents had to call and get a prescription for me I was in so much pain. I have no idea why there was such a difference with each time, because they did the upper and lower on each side at the same time.
