Good morning everyone
Happy Saturday

It is going to be a toasty day here in NE FL
So I am going to head out early to play in the gardens
lol the backyard grass is getting a bit high and the little guy is having to"wade" though it when he goes potty
So that is our clue to mow
But first lets see how many of our QOTD family are up and ready to answer

Today's Question(s):

Woo Hoo !! I just found out _________ ?

Extra Credit Question:

Lets talk about magazines

How many subscriptions do you have ?

Once read do you

Keep them ?
or
Toss them ?

Bonus Question:

What was the last "offer" you just couldn't refuse ?

Just for Fun:

What is the "squeakiest" thing in your home ?

Inquiring Minds Question:

Get up and dance or sit and tap your feet ?
Read a book or watch TV ?
Powder or liquid Laundry Soap ?
Liquid or sheet fabric softener ?

Today in History:

1794 - U.S. Post Office established
1886 - Dr. John S. Pemberton first sold his secret elixir. It was originally used for medicinal purposes. So Dr. Pemberton went to the right place to sell his new product: Jacob's Pharmacy in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Pemberton's medicine was sold to make people feel better and it still does that today. It's Coca-Cola. p.s. 1st Coca-Coke contained cocaine. hmm no wonder it made folks feel "peppy"
1877 - 1st Westminster Dog Show held
1939 - Clay Puett invented a device that is a common sight at thoroughbred race tracks around the world. The electric starting gate.

Word of the Day:

coruscate \KOR-uh-skayt\ , verb:
1. To exhibit brilliant, sparkling technique or style.
2.To give off or reflect bright beams or flashes of light; to sparkle.

Woo hoo! I get to be the first reply today!!!!! I must have had extra caffeine in my coffee!

In honor of No Sock Day, I promise I won't sock anyone!

So yesterday was no pants day... today is no socks day.... I feel like I'm playing strip poker!

Today's Question(s):

Woo Hoo !! I just found out _________ ? It's no socks day. The means I get to buy a new pair of sandals, right????

Extra Credit Question:

Lets talk about magazines

How many subscriptions do you have ? 5-6

Once read do you

Keep them ? Sometimes for a few months, because I'm sure I'll read them again. But I almost never do. So after a few months I toss them.
or
Toss them ? The older I get, the more quickly I toss out things like magazines.

Actually, to be honest, I don't toss them. I give them to my dentist. Even the ones that are a few months old--they're still more current than what he has in the waiting room.

Bonus Question:

What was the last "offer" you just couldn't refuse ? The godfather asked me to sing at his wedding....

Just for Fun:

What is the "squeakiest" thing in your home ? My shoes. You can definitely hear me coming... squeak squeak squeak squeak squeak... unless I want to sneak up on you. (Remember, Moms always know when you're up to something, so don't count on my shoes to warn you that I'm coming....)

Inquiring Minds Question:

Get up and dance or sit and tap your feet ? Dance!
Read a book or watch TV Sometimes both at the same time.
Powder or liquid Laundry Soap? Whatever's on sale... and I buy in bulk.
Liquid or sheet fabric softener ? Sheets--you can re-use 'em in about 100 different ways. I like getting my money's worth out of something.

Word of the Day:

coruscate \KOR-uh-skayt\ , verb:
1. To exhibit brilliant, sparkling technique or style.
2.To give off or reflect bright beams or flashes of light; to sparkle.
Definition #3 should be "see Karla with a K and QOTD, both are the very definition of brilliant, sparkling technique."
