I love Stevie Nicks too!

We're staying home with the kids tonight and letting them stay up late. We'll probably play Wii and watch movies.

Count me as a Stevie fan also...saw her in concert....while I love her music...she wasn't in a great place at the time....(lets just say she left the stage for a good 5 minutes between each song to ...uh..."change her cape")

Yes, she had a lot of capes, once upon a time. I did some work on a record of hers around the end of the 90's. She's fabulous. There's a certain urban legend regarding her love of capes that's not to be repeated in polite circles. I have an engineer friend that swears he saw it in person, in the studio. I certainly was no angel back in those days so I ain't judging. But she sure has some heart, that woman.

So glad to hear that Finster! I'm sad when I hear when an artist I admire is a total ***....I saw a "Biography" on her...she seemed pretty cool. Totally owns up to her past...considering everything, I think she has aged really well...I don't tire of hearing her voice...I would have seen her..hmmm....mid 80's?

Yeah.. me too. I'm sad when they turn out to be an ass as well. Although, not many really are. Especially if they've been around the block a few times. It's the young up and coming ones that haven't had a dose of reality yet that are usually jerks.

As for the 80's, well let's just say having a love of capes was practically a job requirement - she certainly wasn't the only one to go that route. Go Go's anyone?

That makes sense...

oh...and a little trivia...on another thread I brought up Attack of the Killer Tomatoes....the guy who sung one of the songs in that (as a teen)...later became a successful musician. He attended my HS but was a year or two (I think...maybe he was my year...don't really know..didn't run in that crowd but def. knew the name) ahead of me....

If he's who I think he is then he's awesome... what a great career he's had. I don't know him personally but I've certainly admired his work. Jeez, small world, huh?

It really is a small world...years ago when my kids were little, their school went on a ski trip...Not enough room in the bus so some of the parents carpooled up the mtn. and met the kids there. I was in a minivan driven by some other dad...we got to talking and found out we went to the same HS in SoCal (same as the previously mentioned musician), were in the same graduating class...AND he lived (I think still might) about 2 blocks down from me...our kids were attending the same charter school....you just never know....

Happy New Year! Hubby is at work until tomorrow. My kids left a half hour ago to watch the fireworks. I'm enjoying time by myself! I love quiet time!
