When my kids were little and my husband was out of town, our favorite meal was chopped fresh fruit and popcorn. On a paper plate. In front of the TV. With a Disney movie. <holds hand out so wrists can be slapped over any/all of the rules I broke with that one>

Not yet - we are only eating what we get in our CSA. Really thinking outside the box. I learned beets are yucky.

Today our CSA - strawberries!, napa cabbage, radishes, swiss chard, lettuce and garlic - lots of garlic! I'm good with this week. Have plans for all of it.

DS even brought home extra garlic. I'm good for awhile!

mm - was wondering when you got back. I gave you a hard time a few pages back because you didn't say good bye before you left! It's a good thing we knew you were going or would have worried.

Hey jk! I didn't say goodbye? Sorry! I was piddling around, taking my time packing, then got a call from work, then DH came home and needed "just a few" minutes on the computer to finish up some emails he needed to take care of before he left....then he shut off the computer....

Feels good to be home though.....just got back a couple hours ago....long drive. 13 hours. Plus we had to get up especially early to take DD to the airport for her 6 am flight.

for the almost 6 months DH was here and we were still back home, and I was working full time, I fed the kids cereal for dinner. A lot. We'd been here several months, I'm at home now, eating normally again, and one of the kids says "I wish we could have cereal for dinner like in our last house!"

I suppose that means I don't love my kids enough. Silly me I thought working so we could have health insurance, and my son could go to speech therapy, and making our house payment were important at that moment.

LOL...I am dead tired but need my CD "fix"....If I fall asleep too early, I'll not sleep well....DH and I trade the driving off and on so we both got some rest in between but still....it is a long day....DS of course, is out and about. He's glad to be back in his own space too.

Well, we are glad you are back!

Okay, I've not been on the road all day, but tired so I'm off to bed. Pathetic, I know.

Welcome back! Any chance you were in Wisconsin? I saw a car on the highway with CO plates and thought "oh my gosh, maybe it's maciesmom!".

Yes, I'm rather pathetic

LOL - not quite that far strawflower.....we were in Iowa and Illinois. The weather was nice and cool, not overly humid which was nice.
