Hi,
I have a son. Last month we celebrated his first birthday. Now he is on his feet and started walking one and half month ago. From last few days his behavior is different. He is always in weeping mood and insist to carry him all the time and move around. I do not know how to deal him. His mother is a house wife but she also have to do lots of work at home and can not carry him all the time.

Pick him up when you can and just encourage him to walk is all.

Is it possible that he bumped or bruised his leg? Or coming down with the flu or something? Or maybe didn't sleep well for a few days? Or is there something different going on at home, extra visitors?

It probably isn't anything at all, just keep an eye on him. If it gets a lot worse or continues for several more days or a week you may want to call his doctor (just to be on the safe side).

It is possible he's coming down with something, or has growing pains, or is teething, or any number of things that could make him cranky. Keep an eye on him and call the doctor if it doesn't get better.

It could be different things. I would take him in for a checkup, first thing. Then I would consider this to be developmental (possibly). It is not uncommon for toddlers to figuratively take 2 steps forward and 1 step backwards. A little independence can be both exhilarating and terrifying for them. This continues through childhood. Just recently my very independant 11yo who has been given some new freedom such as walking home from school with friends by themselves has asked me to read some of her old picture books to her. So, first check with the ped. and see what they have to say. In the meantime, pick the child up. Let the house get messy if necessary. Your wife can clean up when he naps.

irfaan....do you work out of the home? sometimes little ones can become clingy towards the parent they don't see all the time.....like others have said..pick him up when you can...at his age he's probably teething, and they can become quite cranky and feverish when thats so....as with after vaccination.

My daughter always got clingy (still does ) when she wasn't feeling well (after vaccinations to the thigh - did your child have any for his one year appt?) or when she was teething.

Not to terrify you - but I think a visit to the pedi is in order. A family members baby found our this way that the child had a (very, very rare) cancerous tumor in the femur.

He already have teeth 3 months ago. May be new teeth are coming. Sometimes i got depressed when i see other children of his age playing and their happy moods, and think why my child is not like others.
