Here is one for cuteness ...
I was straightening out a picture of me and my son on the fridge - he was a baby in the picture. He is now 3 years old.
He looked up at the picture and then looked at me and said,
"Momma, when you were little, did you know you wanted to grow up to be my Momma?"
My heart melted.
That is so cute!
When my son was about 4, with his younger 2-year-old brothers toddling around, he was chatting away and at one point said, "Yeah, back when I was a little kid...." which just cracked me up.
"...Out of the mouths of babes..."
My 6 yr old grandson stepped into a conversation my daughter and I were having about fish. We were naming the several types we liked, and he decided to toss in his 2c worth. He asked what a jellyfish and a peanut butter fish looked like and if he's ever had it before.

I love this! LOL
My friend Julie's daughter asked one day to have instead of a "girl cheese sandwich if she could have a boy cheese sandwich" instead.

We were driving one day and always liked to see the animal crossing signs with pictures of the animals, like duck crossking, elk crossing. Well we had just moved to a part of the country where salmon streams are marked protected, and drove by a sign with a salmon on it, and my son hollered, "Fish crossing! Watch for fish crossing the road!"
Here's one to ponder ... my oldest daughter, when she was in 1st grade point blank exclaimed that she knows why forks are called forks. She said it's because there are 4 stickers, they are therefore called "forks" .. "four"ks ... I about had a wreck (we were driving at the time).

LOL, of course it makes sense!
what's amazing is that there is always a very reasonable logic there at work! I love that!
I got one too......My three year old son had a growth spurt.....So I said to him..."I think your going to be a six footer"....He looked at me with a worried face and said "But I don't want to have six feet!"
I was picking up the house today when I heard my 6 year old exclaim "THIS DOESN'T WORK!!!" I went into the kitchen and found my daughter with an orange in one hand with a STRAW sticking out of it ... she was trying to suck the juice out of the orange with a straw like she sees in the commercial!!! Ugh!!!! When I explained that it's a commercial, she wasn't buying it. Personally, I don't see how in the world she got the straw to stick out of the orange ...
So, with my fist in the air I proclaim Curse you Tropicana!!!
That's the kind of story you let 'slip out' when her BF comes to meet you for the first time
