The only names I am opposed to are weird spellings. I had one employee that told me he named his daughter Myrackle. He wrote it on a little bio project we did. I would have never guessed it was pronounced Miracle until he said it. A friend from college named her daughter Alekksandra. I hate the spelling of it.

There's a little girl in my family named Dymond (like Diamond). I think that's a bit stripper-ish. It's better than Myrackle though! lol

I'm with you there. One of our neighbor girl's name is Allisa...except they pronounce it Alicia (Ah-lee-sha). They get really mad when you call her A-lisa or A-liss-a..well, spell the name right then. We do know a family that has two kids, Michaela...and Michael....no, they are not twins. I don't like the y for i substitutions or adding in random letters either..Cyndi , Devyon, Deryk, Sydni..

I'm with you with Allisa - Ah lee sha is spelled differently. I had a Tyler who insisted the name was pronounced Taylor (then name your kid Taylor, not Tyler).

Or adding extra letters for no purpose. I know a Bridigitte -pronounced Brigitte. What are the extra d and i for???

For the most part, I agree about just adding extra letters. But that name has lots of spellings, some of them with a "D", and some with double "T".

Not Bridget, Brigitte. Her name is spelled BriDIgitte. The D and I are extraneous and confusing.
