how many pairs of shoes do you have for your kids (teenager, parent)

We had three (school shoes, old shoes, and winter boots) because we needed the boots in the upper midwest. At some point, we started to have dress shoes as well.

Wow I have no idea how many she has but from the time she was in grade school it was more than ten.

Sneakers, chucks, vans, uggs, tevas, flats, Mary Janes, cleats, wellies, hiking boots, and those are just the ones off the top of my head that I consider essential (maybe not chucks and vans). Hell, I have all of those plus two pairs of heels and a couple of tieks, oh and toms instead of vans.

Weird but we are not tons of clothes/shoes people.

I never had a limit (minimum or maximum) on shoes for my kids. My daughter had more than my son if that means anything. He liked to wear the same thing every day. I never counted.

At the moment my daughter has 3 pairs of trainers, 2 pairs of wellies (rubber boots), 2 pairs of winter boots, a pair of sandals, a pair of croc-like sandals and then sandals and beach shoes in the next size up for next summer. I generally have to get 2 of everything so that one pair of each can be kept at her dad's (as he invariably forgets to bring them back)

I do Striderite, but usually at the outlet or on sale. It's usually just one or two pairs of shoes. I used to get more, but my son likes to wear the same pair every day anyway, so there's no point. We do sneakers and some kind of waterproof boot/hiking-ish shoe for colder, wetter days.

She's 3yo. Finally getting to the point where we aren't changing sizes every three months, LOL

Generally a pair of dressy shoes , a pair of boots , a couple pairs of sneakers and a couple pairs of casuals.

I buy stride rite mostly. I'm able to find them at the Outlet, on sale or at Marshalls/TJMAxx, Ross. I don't let her wear flip-flops or cheapy flimsy sandals for safety reasons

When my daughter was younger, she would have 2 or 3 pairs of sneakers, 2 pairs of shoes, 2 pairs of flats and 1 or 2 pairs of sandals. In the winter, I would add a pair of snow boots and a pair of warm boots.

My sons have a couple of pairs of jogging type shoes and a pair of winter boots. My daughter probably has about 5 pair, 2 pair of jogging shoes, a pair of winter boots, a pair of clogs for summer and a pair of cowgirl boots. They probably cost between $5.00-$20.00 for the regular shoes and $50.00-$100.00 for the winter boots. My 3 sons are grown so their winter boots usually last like 5 yrs. The shoes in generally last the kids 6 mos.-1 yr.

Wow, I'm surprised that so many young children have that many pairs of shoes. When my children were in the "fast feet growing years" they generally had a pair or maybe two of school shoes, a pair of winter boots, a pair of tennis shoes/gym shoes and maybe a dressy or nice pair of shoes for church or dress-up occasions.

They used their old or worn out shoes (if they still fit) as "visiting the farm" shoes. Especially after the time that DS tricked DD (just turned 4) into stepping in a deep puddle of cow urine and it ruined her new blue shoes. DS was in deep doo-doo himself over that trick!

My six-year-old daughters and my nine-year-old son each have two pairs for winter, and three for summer. Their winter shoes are sneakers and dress shoes. Their summer shoes are flip-flops, dress shoes, and sandals- the last being for school because flip-flops are banned there.
My ten-year-old son, however, has only one pair of shoes; sneakers. He wears them year-round for everything. I've asked him countless times if he wants other shoes, and he says no. He does have some dress shoes for special occasions...somewhere.
