he wasn't proven wrong. he said "more pervasive than other areas." you'd have to show that it isn't more pervasive than "other areas." what we know, the highest crime place in the state is chester (philly metro), then harrisburg (it's own metro), then norristown (philly metro). the two big cities also have crime. we also know that the philly metro has more crime in general than the pittsburgh metro (presumably one of the "other areas.") given that philly is much larger and that there are no big concentrations in pittsburgh outside the city, we still do not know if it's simply more concentrated in certain areas of the philly metro or if crime is more pervasive relative to the overall crime rate. it coudl be that crime is more spreadout evenly in pittsburgh, or not. we also know that things like entry ports for drugs to supply big markets in philly and especially ny can affect crime, these may be fairly concentrated in certain areas.

It's on said individual to prove that the "Philadelphia region is more pervasive regarding violent crime than other areas". He/she didnt do it and they most likely can't do it.

Pervasive.Violent Crime.Philadelphia Region . Don't Work. Its the wrong adjective and the wrong angle to be preaching.

If you want to say violent crime in certain parts of the Philly region is intense, disgusting, ridiculous and out of control I couldnt disagree. But the notion that violent crime in the Philadlephia region is pervasive is 100% false. Its the antithesis of pervasive.

technically he said "more pervasive than other areas" which is difficult to prove or disprove.

Then he/she shouldnt have said it.

If he/she does say it I need an iron clad case to back it up. He/she presented no case and has no case.

Yes I made a simple comment based on the data paco posted. I may be right, I may be wrong and I dont care. As long as one makes a logical assumption based on the data it is fine with me. This is a discussion forum and we are here to discuss, argue, etc.
