Yet no comments on the projects, maps and charts posted by those posting for Pittsburgh? The basically are in reply to the post Philly promoters list and comment Pittsburgh isn't getting? Proving it is.

Ironically, when Philadelphia is vs cities that win big over Philly. Philadelphia defenders dislike the same tactics done to them that some are doing here to a city much smaller.

If Philly sees itself in the League of a LA, Chicago, DC/Baltimore SF/San Jose'. To name a few. It need not lessen cities with metros much smaller and maintain superiority while seeing itself in another league of cities it begs to be noticed as securely in their league.

Philly can surely have pride in its overcoming declines of the past. That is all Northern cites basically. We can all applaud that. But I see this pounding of Philly new projects listed? That has positive happenings in Pittsburgh as if far insignificant? But get appalled if they also note Philly's aspects it still battles to overcome. Accuse them of total fabrications they can prove otherwise. But then keep trying to knock Pittsburgh to a league below Philly and finger point another is doing all the knocking?

Every thread that Philly is vs another city has others use the term boosters and homers. So I'd say some aspects must be true.

This is becoming a game of mine is Bigger then yours. All the while these cities are in different leagues By size alone. Especially by metro.

This is still not the thread to merely post Philly projects news? That is suppose to be the "Philadelphia2035" thread. Or a new one created in the Philly forum for it to be endless new projects to losses thread.

Try using and discussing
- living in these two cities likenesses and differences comments to discuss.
- Neighborhoods, housing and built environments.
- foodie options and differences
- ethnic enclaves still left
- what makes a Pittsburgher and Philadelphian very prideful in their cities

Philadelphia and Pittsburgh are really not competing cities. Going for Harrisburg funds. Is not being competing cities in a National scope of cities. Sister cities yes.

O goodness, I make one sarcastic comment and you type all of that, yet you never call out BB for its endless rants and word vomit.

I was poking fun at BB, just giving it a taste of its own medicine. This thread is already a mess so I don't care about stirring up trouble because any post by that thing is not going to be rational anyway.

The 47,400-square foot building will accommodate clinical drug development and a manufacturing plant. The Oxford, U.K.-based company employs 92 in Philadelphia, and will grow to 120 by the end of 2017. Adaptimmune has 201 employees in the U.K.

The opening of the new building "underscores our continued commitment to Philadelphia and the region, as well as our unwavering focus on delivering important cell therapy products to cancer patients," said chief executive officer James Noble. "This new facility supports the advancement of our promising pipeline through scalable, cost-effective, clinical and commercial manufacturing."

Quote:
Farewell, Salvation Army day care and cafeteria.

Hello, Estates on 3rd.

This new four-unit gated luxury townhouse development on Third Street below Walnut in Society Hill finally solves a problem that had troubled realtor-developer Noah Ostroff for some time, namely, finding a new use for the old Salvation Army property.

Prices start at $2.65 million. 218 has been sold in advance of construction. The homes are projected to be complete by year’s end.

Marcellus Shale exports from Philly jump in 2016

Quote:
The number of ships exporting Marcellus Shale natural-gas liquids out of Philadelphia’s port quintupled in 2016, according to the Maritime Exchange, reflecting an increased flow of propane and other materials through Sunoco Logistics Partners' Marcus Hook terminal.

Exports of the natural-gas liquids, mostly ethane, increased to 34 vessels last year, up from six ships in 2015. The volumes are likely to increase this year if Sunoco completes a scheduled third-quarter expansion of its Mariner East pipeline system that would increase its capacity from 70,000 barrels a day to 345,000 barrels.

Maritime Exchange officials expect the annual traffic of ethane vessels will eventually exceed 100 ships.

A rotting shell around the corner from me at Bloyd Street and Locust Avenue is being rebuilt.

You're absolutely right.

The homes are attractive, but I agree, This is something you should see in the suburbs not the city. My ideal view for this lot (though very small) would be a well designed boutique mixed use structure maybe 5-9 stories tall on a small footprint, but that would never happen.

I could name a couple NYC projects that would look snazzy in that neighborhood.
