I know this is going to sound silly, but I have a serious allergy to fire ants and I'm looking to move away from my home state of NC. I'm really tired of living in fear of them.

From the research I've done, I think that they are not a problem in PA, but I'm just curious if anyone has experienced any problems with fire ants in the Harrisburg area? Harrisburg is one of the areas my husband and I are considering.

Thanks for any input.

My wife has taught high school near Harrisburg for several years now and has never heard anyone complain about fire ants. They seem to be a southern states problem. My family lives in South Carolina and my father hates going outside because of them.

No fire ants anywhere up here, it's too cold for them.
