Christmas has become a 'gimme gimme gimme' holiday. I can't stand it. I've managed to make plans to do dinners or make cookies together with friends instead of exchanging gifts. At first a few people were a little put off by it, but after a few times they realized that time is more precious than any gift out there and spending it with friends is the best gift of all.
