Most of the hospitals in the Pittsburgh region have been closing or consolidated into UPMC. It makes for a tough job market.

She might think about the Altoona area, nice hospital, great staff. Never treated so well in my life and I am from SoCal. She could rent a house in the smaller towns within 10-15 miles, interstate driving and they keep the roads plowed well here. A three bedroom house here would be around $600 a month and she could purchase a home using the tax credit with little down payment, houses here from $50k and up (don't live in actual Altooon (which I would not). The small towns are for the most part great and our school district of Penn Cambria has small class size and wonderful teachers. Good luck and welcome to PA.
