Default Mifflinburg- Litle Leagues?

We are considering a move to Mifflinburg and had some questions about things to do for our children. We have 2 boys aged 8 and 6, and a 10 year old daughter.

Is there Little League baseball in Mifflinburg? How about other sports? My kids are very athletic, and that would weigh heavily in our decision.

Thanks!

I answered in another thread, but will repeat here that Mifflinburg (Union County) has a large Little League program. There is also AYSO soccer and many sports opportunities through the schools.

Mifflinburg has a nice town park, with a nice swimming pool and playground. I'm not sure if there are any organized swim teams in town, but you could find out at the pool.

My grandparents lived very near the town park and I can remember when they built the swimming pool in the late '50s-early '60s. As a 5 year old, I was mesmerized by the heavy equipment they used and would watch them dig the big hole. :-)

That's when they began to really build the town-park. It started as just the little league field and the swimming pool. It has taken off from there.

They do have an organized swimming and diving team.

Well, I do know that they have a softball program in Mifflinburg...my daughter's team (from Danville) played them twice in the District 13 All-Star Tournament. From the people I spoke to, the program is a good one...nice coaches, good management.

I know there's a LL baseball program in Mifflinburg as well, but I don't know anything about that program.

Good luck!
Cathy
