I think the coldest it's been here in SRB is 23, which stinks, but is nowhere near what we left in the Midwest.

And wasn't today gorgeous?

And there you will melt in July and August.

Oh okay! Well I can handle the once a decade snow/ice. My husband has family in Pensacola so here we shall be for a while yet. Maybe in the future we can navigate South!

I'd say my area usually gets 2-5 nights of freezing weather every year with last winter, where it was pleasantly above 60F a good chunk of January, on the 2 side of things.

I also moved (back) here from Minnesota. This has been the "worst" winter I've seen here since 2004, but I don't think most people realize that we do get some degree of real winter here. Plus, something about the humidity makes even 40-50 degree temps seem 10 degrees worse than they are. Honestly, weather along the gulf coast just kinda sucks lol. Either cold, raining, or really hot and muggy. Very little in-between.

Edit: this weekend has been beautiful, but it's been the exception lately.
