Well I guess this story would qualify as personal finance. Michigan is still giving this woman food stamps after she won a million bucks.

She's not embarrassed, the story says.

Wow people here love yahoo news...anyways it's up to the government to cut her off, what she's doing isn't right but the government is enabling her. This answers the question that was in the debates section "why are Americans so lazy?"

Sure she is! Food stamps have income limitations, which she exceeds.

listening to this lady talk her food stamps will be her only source of income before long. For somebody on welfare to throw 10-15% away for taking the money in one lump some is ridicuolous. Its one thing if the person was already wealthy, or an amount of money that you could live on comfortably for the rest of your life.

I love those who say "it isn't her fault!"

Yes, it is. And she should be in jail--it's called defrauding the gov't. And the lottery money should default straight back to the Food Stamps program she defrauded.
