She is a single buyer with uneven job record in the 2 years leading to the event. That's right but they baited her and she put down $20k. They could have told her that. Incompetent which caused a lot of stress to her.

Of course it's always more to the story.

They know that. They have all her W-2s, no hiding. She finally went with a private lender that I used and got better deal. Of course, there is always another lender.

For what it's worth, I used US Bank for my mortgages and was happy with them.

I wouldn't dismiss them out of hand.
NO complaints with wells Fargo other than explanation of my savings for mortgage approval. No more days of loans to anyone with a pulse

I'd call it a nearly 50% difference

It just interesting in your first post you made no mention of spoty job history. Still doesn't fully explain a 70% down payment so your story is a bit off

You didn't ask. They saw her work history and told her that she was prequalified. It's also not unusual for people to have spotty work record like my sister, she's contractor.

Exactly about the 70%, Wells Fargo is a crazy bank and she told them. But they are the builder's preferred lender. On top of that she has paid off 2 mortgages with them.
