Default 8k tax credit w/ injured spouse form

filed an injured spouse form at tax time, to avoid my due return going toward husband's previous tax debt. Of course, it got josseled around before I finally received my return months later. Now, I bought a house in my name only, and would like to amend to get the 8k credit asap. With the injured spouse form on file, you think it's safe to amend, or do you think it will start a whole CF again??? The credit, is rightfully mine of course...
