I suppose people here, and elsewhere who look at philly.curbed regularly, saw the article about the amazing 5000+ Sq Ft, 7 bedrooms home for $745 K in Overbrook Farms. What a bargain.

Washington Sq(Philly) was never really bad. But few people hung out there which is still the case.

Logan Circle was a mess too. Homeless people "bathing" in the fountain. Eh... Thank goodness that's over!
It's not Logan Square, but more inappropriate fountain use in Philadelphia:

I think it was a burial ground for paupers.

More reason why the homeless would instinctively avoid wash square.

Right. The show that can't find a way to actually shoot anything significant in Philadelphia now.

That's what they say. May also have remains of people who died in 1793 yellow fever epidemic.

Proposal to transform base of Ben Franklin Bridge trips at the start

I hate how the plaza is in the way of traffic flow and doesn't lend itself to anyone "visiting" it. It is stupid to want to cross 6th street around there to reach the plaza. So what is the point of it being there?

Thoughts?

Couldn't have said it better myself. Who wants to stand in a park just to listen to a highway, after crossing all those lanes of traffic? Not me! If they were going to do it right, they would bury the highway (or at least one of the sides) and make it all a park and connect the surrounding neighborhoods. We know that's not going to happen!
