I believe a lot of the indians who work at comcast live in the media area. I don't think there are any indian communities in the city? You'll have to end up getting a car.

There are quite a few Indian families in the Bustleton section of Northeast Philly. It seems to be a growing Indian community off Pine Road in that area.

Commuting to Comcast is very easy. You just have to live near a train station, a subway station, or a Frankford El Station. They will all take you very close to Comcast. You can also live in NJ near the High Speed Line. That too will bring you close to the Comcast Building - either a short walk or a transfer to the Frankford El at 8th and Market to 15th and Market.

Well this may or may not be for you but There a large number of Indians that attend Temple University up broad and there are defiantly a good number of apartment buildings where you will find Indian culture and stuff. The problem really being if you wish to live a long time here and raise your daughter. I don't trust the public schools around there sadly and the crime rate is dropping but it is higher than most other places you will look but the price is right.

I will second this about Bustelton. From Wikipedia: "Whites made up 87.1 percent of the population (US share was 75.1 percent), blacks were 3.5 percent (US share was 12.3 percent), Asians were 7.0 percent (US share was 3.6 percent) with the majority of those Indian." If you have a child, the Joseph Greenberg school in Bustleton is also one of the better public schools in the city.

There is also a very large Indian community in the Secane/Morton/Springfield area, but that is a longer commute. Both areas have commuter rail trains, though.
